2. General and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Statement.

When you use this website, various pieces of personal data are collected. Personal data refers to any data that can personally identify you. This Privacy Statement outlines the data that we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

Secure transmission of your data

In order to best protect the data stored by us against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons, we employ appropriate technical and organisational security measures. The security levels are reviewed on an ongoing basis in cooperation with security experts and are adapted to new security standards.

All exchanges of data from and to our website are encrypted. In terms of transmission protocol, we provide HTTPS for our web presence and always use the latest encryption protocols. In addition, we provide our users with content encryption within contact forms and applications. Only we have the ability to decrypt this data. Besides this, it is also possible to use alternative means of communication (e.g. the postal service).

Right to object

With regard to your right to object, please note the following:

If we process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to this data processing at any time without giving reasons. This also applies to profiling insofar as it relates to direct marketing.

If you object to the processing for purposes of direct marketing, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes. Objections are free of charge and can be made without observing any formal requirements, preferably to: datenschutz@krs-seigert.de.

In the event that we process your data to safeguard legitimate interests, you may object to this processing at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling and legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Purposes and legal bases of data processing

The processing of your personal data complies with the provisions stipulated in the EU‑GDPR and all other applicable data protection regulations. Legal bases for the data processing stem in particular from Article 6 EU-GDPR.

We use your data to initiate business, fulfil contractual and legal obligations, execute contractual relationships, offer products and services and strengthen our customer relationships, which may include analysis for marketing or direct marketing purposes.

Your consent to the processing of data may also constitute a data protection permission regulation. Before you grant consent, we will inform you about the purpose of the data processing and your right of withdrawal.

If the consent also relates to the processing of special categories of personal data, we will explicitly point this out to you in the consent. The processing of special categories of personal data in accordance with Article 9 EU-GDPR only takes place if required by law or if there are no grounds for assuming that you have an overriding legitimate interest in precluding the data processing.

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

For reasons of technical security (in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server), this data is stored in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) EU-GDPR. When making decisions, we do not use purely automated processing procedures.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies (Article 6 (1) (f) EU-GDPR / Article 6 (1) (a) EU-GDPR in the event of consent)

Our website uses cookies in several places. They serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are filed and stored on your device.

These cookies enable us to analyse how users use our websites. This way, we can shape the website’s content according to our visitors’ needs.

Cookies also allow us to measure the effectiveness of a particular advertisement and to position it, for example, in accordance with a user’s interests. The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (f) EU-GDPR or, in the event that consent is given, Article 6 (1) (a) EU-GDPR.

We use the following cookies:

Our own cookies:

This type of cookie is directly controlled by XY company. Depending on their purpose, they remain permanently stored even after the end of the session (persistent cookies, which implement opt-out) or are deleted when the browser is closed (session cookies, which are only valid for one browser session).

Third-party cookies:

This type of cookie is controlled by third parties. Third-party vendors are vendors that show banner ads on other websites for XY company in particular. They use cookies to convey the information that a banner ad you have displayed has resulted in a purchase (e.g. conversion tracking).

Temporary/permanent cookies are used in this process, which automatically delete themselves after a predetermined time (usually 6 months). These temporary or permanent cookies are stored on your device and delete themselves after the predetermined time. The cookies of our partner companies also only contain pseudonymous, usually anonymous data. They enable our partners to understand the products that you viewed, whether you purchased something, which products you searched for, etc. In doing so, some of our advertising partners also gather information about the pages that you have previously visited or which products you have been interested in. This makes it possible to display individualised advertising. This pseudonymous data is never merged with your personal data.

Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. Of course, you can also disable, restrict or delete cookies on your device either manually via your browser settings or with the help of software.

Please note that if you disable cookies, you may not be able to make full use of all of the functions of our website.

Furthermore, according to the authorities, this type of cookie requires the consent of visitors to our website. We therefore recommend collecting these by means of a cookie banner.

4. Analysis tools and advertising

Analysis tools are not used on the website www.krs-seigert.de.

5. Plug-ins and tools

Google Fonts

To display external fonts, our website uses Google Fonts. This is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

US-based Google LLC is certified to the EU-US Privacy Shield, a data protection framework which ensures compliance with the applicable level of data protection in the EU.

To be able to display certain scripts on our pages, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when you visit our website.

The legal basis for this is Article (6) (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Using the connection established when you visit our website, Google can determine the website from which your request was sent and to which IP address the display of the font is to be transmitted.

Google offers further information under

in particular about the possibilities to prevent the use of data.

Google Maps

This site uses the web mapping service Google Maps through an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Maps is a web service that displays interactive maps to visually represent geographic information. The service shows you our location and helps to facilitate your journey.

When you visit subpages that incorporate Google Maps, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google’s servers in the US and stored there. This is done regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or if no user account exists. When you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. Such an evaluation is carried out in accordance with Article (6) (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interests of Google in the display of personalised advertising, market research and/or the needs-based customisation of its website. You have a right to object to the formation of these user profiles. To do so, you must go through Google.

US-based Google LLC is certified to the EU-US Privacy Shield, a data protection framework which ensures compliance with the applicable level of data protection in the EU.

If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google as part of the use of Google Maps, it is also possible to disable the Google Maps web service completely by turning off the JavaScript application in your browser. This then means that Google Maps and the map on this website cannot be used. Google’s Terms of Use can be viewed at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/regional.html, and additional terms for Google Maps can be found at

For details on privacy as regards the use of Google Maps, please visit the Google Privacy Policy page:
